SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lillian C. Ross of Waukegan, who passed away on December 5, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Lillian Ross was born to John and Caroline (Niemiec) Rozputynski on July 31, 1927; she graduated from Waukegan Township High School and attended the University of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Lillian Ross dedicated 30 years of service to the United States Postal Service; she was a superintendent at the North Chicago Post Office and was postmaster at the Highwood Post Office; and

WHEREAS, Lillian Ross was an avid golfer and world traveler; and

WHEREAS, Lillian Ross was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edward; and her sisters, Anna and Sophie; and

WHEREAS, Lillian Ross is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carol (Lloyd) Waterloo, John Kowalski, Kathleen (John) Hansen, James (Tina) Kowalski, Virginia (James) Renwick, and John Ross, and her many loving grandnieces and grandnephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lillian C. Ross and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lillian Ross as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
