SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Esp of DeWitt, Michigan, who passed away on November 20, 2019; and

WHEREAS, James Esp was born in Waukegan; he graduated from St. Anastasia Elementary School, Carmel Catholic High School, and the University of Illinois at Chicago; and

WHEREAS, James Esp worked for Osco Drug Stores, Genovese/Eckerd Drug Stores, and the Photo Marketing Association, for which he traveled internationally; and

WHEREAS, James Esp loved nature and sports, especially golf; he had a kind heart and a love of people and truly enjoyed getting to know all who crossed his path; he lived his life with purpose and understood the importance of family and friends; and

WHEREAS, James Esp was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald; and

WHEREAS, James Esp Jim is survived by his wife, Diane; his sons, Matthew (Julie) and Todd (Susana); his granddaughter, Alexis; his brothers, Robert (Bobbi), Richard (Wendy), David, Charles (Sally), and John (Nancy); numerous nephews and nieces; and many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Esp and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Esp as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
