SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Abraham Anthony "Mickey" Brumleve of Urbana, who passed away on November 28, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Abraham Brumleve was born in Urbana to Timothy R. and Dorothy A. Brumleve on August 24, 1986; he attended Urbana High School, where he and his friends started the band Missing the Point; he graduated in 2004 from King George School in Sutton, Vermont and earned an associate's degree at Parkland College in Champaign; he graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in German Linguistics; and

WHEREAS, Abraham Brumleve was skilled on a variety of instruments and enjoyed making music; and

WHEREAS, Abraham Brumleve was an aspiring martial artist; he was a coffee and tobacco aficionado and an advocate for marijuana law reform; he maintained a positive outlook on life and hope for the future; he was a very loving, kind person, who always thought of others before himself; and

WHEREAS, Abraham Brumleve was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and one aunt; and

WHEREAS, Abraham Brumleve is survived by his siblings, Jacob Daniel Brumleve, Joseph Timothy Brumleve, William Scott Brumleve, and Catherine Rebecca Roland, and numerous extended family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Abraham Anthony "Mickey" Brumleve and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Abraham Brumleve as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
