SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bonnie B. Hinrichsen of Peoria, who
4passed away on October 21, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bonnie Hinrichsen was born in Charleston, South
6Carolina to George and Lillie Peeples Baker on June 2, 1944;
7she received her Bachelor of Science from the University of
8South Carolina, her Master of Science from the University of
9Illinois, and her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University; she
10married Dave Hinrichsen on June 6, 1993; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bonnie Hinrichsen was Professor Emeritus in the
12Nursing Department at Bradley University, where she taught and
13inspired future nurses for 30 years, retiring in 2009; she was
14highly respected and admired; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bonnie Hinrichsen was a devoted wife, mother, and
16grandmother; she and her husband enjoyed many wonderful years
17together playing golf, traveling, and taking daily walks; she
18had the warmth and kindness that made her house a "home"; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bonnie Hinrichsen was preceded in death by her
20parents; Grandma Bess Baker; and her son-in-law, Frank Perry;

1    WHEREAS, Bonnie Hinrichsen is survived by her husband,
2Dave; her sister, Jo Anne (Dalton) Thompson; her nephews, Dal,
3Rhett, and Doug; her daughters, Claire Perry, Ashley (Kevin)
4Kinne, and Kellie (Jordan) Walker; her stepchildren, Jenette
5(Lance) Brown, Jacob Hinrichsen, Jaclyn Hinrichsen, and Joseph
6(Lynsi) Hinrichsen; and eight grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Bonnie B. Hinrichsen and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bonnie Hinrichsen as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
