SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lois (Barrett) Hart of Georgetown, who passed away on January 24, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Lois Hart was born in Paris, Illinois to Charles and Clella (Wade) Barrett on March 28, 1946; she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and later from Eastern Illinois University; she married Tim Hart on August 19, 1994; and

WHEREAS, Lois Hart loved teaching and helping children succeed in school; she was an inspiration to teachers around her because she put others first; and

WHEREAS, Lois Hart was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville; she enjoyed supporting the La Salette boys in Olivet and attending family ball games and her grandchildren's events; and

WHEREAS, Lois Hart was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brian Kelly; her sister, Ruth Dickerson; and her brother, Frank Barrett; and

WHEREAS, Lois Hart is survived by her husband, Tim; her children, Patrick (Angie) Kelly, Jason Hart, Alicia (Matthew) Ford, and Adam (Kim) Hart; her siblings, Doris Stone, Rose Smith, Fred Barrett, and Luella (Dave) Knight; and her grandchildren, Bryce, Jordan, Frankie, Christopher, Kevin, Cheyenne, Chase, Cameron, Evangelina, Tyler (Maddie), Timmy, and Tenley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lois (Barrett) Hart and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lois Hart as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
