SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ramon Ray Bradley of East Moline, who
4passed away on August 3, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Bradley was born in Hiawassee, Georgia to
6Robert and Dora (Rodgers) Bradley on December 26, 1931; he
7served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; he
8married Christie Katherine Coleman in Hiawassee, Georgia on
9August 7, 1955; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ray Bradley retired from John Deere Harvester
11Works in East Moline in 2001 after 44 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ray Bradley was a member of UAW Local 865; he
13enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, gardening, and coaching
14softball; he was known as a "Mr. Fix It" for anyone in need; he
15loved his family and was dedicated to taking care of his wife;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ray Bradley was preceded in death by six brothers,
18all of whom also served in the United States military; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ray Bradley is survived by his wife, Christie
20Katherine; his children, Ron (Cindy) Bradley, Susan (David)

1Busch, Linda (Judge John) McGehee, and Mark (Mark Tichenor)
2Bradley; and his grandchildren, Kayla and Katie Bradley, Brian,
3Alyssa, Brandon, and Brett Busch, and Chloe and Jonathan
4McGehee; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Ramon Ray Bradley and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Ray Bradley as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
