SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ramon Ray Bradley of East Moline, who passed away on August 3, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Ray Bradley was born in Hiawassee, Georgia to Robert and Dora (Rodgers) Bradley on December 26, 1931; he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; he married Christie Katherine Coleman in Hiawassee, Georgia on August 7, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Ray Bradley retired from John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline in 2001 after 44 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Ray Bradley was a member of UAW Local 865; he enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, gardening, and coaching softball; he was known as a "Mr. Fix It" for anyone in need; he loved his family and was dedicated to taking care of his wife; and

WHEREAS, Ray Bradley was preceded in death by six brothers, all of whom also served in the United States military; and

WHEREAS, Ray Bradley is survived by his wife, Christie Katherine; his children, Ron (Cindy) Bradley, Susan (David) Busch, Linda (Judge John) McGehee, and Mark (Mark Tichenor) Bradley; and his grandchildren, Kayla and Katie Bradley, Brian, Alyssa, Brandon, and Brett Busch, and Chloe and Jonathan McGehee; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ramon Ray Bradley and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ray Bradley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
