SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ignatius S. "Iggy" Hodnik of Waukegan, who passed away on February 14, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Iggy Hodnik was born to Ignatius and Frances Hodnik on February 1, 1927; he served in the U.S. Army during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Iggy Hodnik held many factory jobs and retired in the mid-90s from the City of Waukegan Public Works Department; and

WHEREAS, Iggy Hodnik attended mass faithfully at Mother of God Parish, later joining St. Anastasia; and

WHEREAS, Iggy Hodnik is survived by his wife, Judith; his children, Fred (Deb) Hodnik, Sue Hodnik, and Nancy (Gary) Orvis; his stepdaughter, Kristen (Ricky) Galla; his grandchildren, Marco, Keri, Alicia, John, and Henry; his sisters, Victoria Zelenik and Marge Berzin; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ignatius S. "Iggy" Hodnik and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Iggy Hodnik as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
