SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jess W. Bowling of Silvis, who passed
4away on October 13, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jess Bowling was born in Scottsburg, Indiana to
6Henry Marcus and Pearly Baker Bowling on November 30, 1945; he
7served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jess Bowling enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting,
9and traveling with his brothers; he was a fan of the Chicago
10Cubs and the Chicago Bears; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jess Bowling was preceded in death by his parents;
12his siblings, Woodrow Bowling, Matthew Bowling, Henry "Lee"
13Bowling, McKinley Bowling, Jacqueline Jones, and Pauline
14Hoffman; six nephews; and one niece; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jess Bowling is survived by his sisters, Kathleen
16Schumacher, Mary Showalter, and Denise (Dennis) Anton; and
17several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
20Jess W. Bowling and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
2further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Jess Bowling as an expression of our
5deepest sympathy.
