SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jimmy Dwayne "Jim" Hannah of Port Byron,
4who passed away on September 14, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Hannah was born in Michigan City, Indiana to
6James and Beulah (Kilgore) Hannah on January 4, 1957; he served
7in the U.S. Navy; he married Claire Jean Ditto on October 27,
81990; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jim Hannah was a forklift operator; most recently,
10he worked for R&L Carriers; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jim Hannah loved baseball and was a huge Chicago
12Cubs fan; he also loved the Raiders football team; he enjoyed
13getting scratch off lottery tickets, doing yardwork, and
14tending his flowers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jim Hannah is survived by his wife, Claire; his
16children, Brandi (Michael) Galinowski, Chris (Amy) Lawrenz,
17Dawn (Donald) Silvers, and Renee (Daniel) McGinty; his
18grandchildren, Tyler Galinowski, James Baker, Danielle Keel,
19Elizabeth Silvers, Allison Silvers, Hunter Fox, Madeline
20McGinty, Abigail McGinty, Samuel McGinty, Brenden Lawrenz,
21Laura Sutton, Emily Sutton, and James Lawrenz; and his six

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Jimmy Dwayne "Jim" Hannah and extend our sincere condolences to
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Jim Hannah as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
