SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald J. "Don" Rench of Rock Island, who passed away on August 16, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Don Rench was born on September 16, 1933; and

WHEREAS, Don Rench served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant; and

WHEREAS, Don Rench was a retired Rock Island firefighter; and

WHEREAS, Don Rench was preceded in death by his grandson, Steven Rench; and

WHEREAS, Don Rench is survived by his children, Lisa Johnson and Donald (Barb) Rench Jr.; his grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Cross, Stephen S. Cross, C. Michael Cross, Lauren Kathleen (Nathan) Bloomquist, and Joseph James Rench; and three great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald J. "Don" Rench and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Don Rench as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
