SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald C. "Ron" Anderson of Moline, who passed away on August 3, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson was born in Davenport, Iowa to Clarence and Elsie (Sheppstedt) Anderson on December 15, 1944; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and married Janet Malmstrom in Moline on May 10, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where he served in many different positions; he enjoyed photography, motorcycle trips, hunting, fishing, and golf; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Lisa (Jeremy) Strawn and Andy (Kim) Laird; his grandchildren, Juliana, Mackenzie, and Cody; and his fellow car enthusiast, Jacob Kammler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ron Anderson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ron Anderson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
