SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carl G. Schrof of Bloomington, who passed
4away on March 25, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was born in Fairbury to Ervin and
6Grace Johnson Schrof on May 14, 1936; he was educated in
7Forrest schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958;
8he married Ernestine Earles on October 6, 1957; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was a commercial real estate broker
10and owned and operated Schrof Enterprises; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran
12Church in Forrest, the Bloomington Elks Club, the Moose Lodge,
13and the Illinois Valley Yacht and Canoe Club in Peoria Heights;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was preceded in death by his parents
16and his brother, John Schrof; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Carl Schrof is survived by his sons, Gregory and
18Douglas Schrof; his daughter, Pamela Rieger; his
19grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Leman, Tyler (Nicole) Steimle,
20Stuart Steimle, and Lindsey (Justin) Voights; seven

1great-grandchildren; and his life partner, Peg Otto;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Carl G. Schrof and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Carl Schrof as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
