SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carl G. Schrof of Bloomington, who passed away on March 25, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was born in Fairbury to Ervin and Grace Johnson Schrof on May 14, 1936; he was educated in Forrest schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958; he married Ernestine Earles on October 6, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was a commercial real estate broker and owned and operated Schrof Enterprises; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Forrest, the Bloomington Elks Club, the Moose Lodge, and the Illinois Valley Yacht and Canoe Club in Peoria Heights; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schrof was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Schrof; and

WHEREAS, Carl Schrof is survived by his sons, Gregory and Douglas Schrof; his daughter, Pamela Rieger; his grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Leman, Tyler (Nicole) Steimle, Stuart Steimle, and Lindsey (Justin) Voights; seven great-grandchildren; and his life partner, Peg Otto; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Carl G. Schrof and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carl Schrof as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
