| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the members and coaches of | | 4 | | the Naperville North High School Varsity Dance Team, the | | 5 | | Huskies, on an excellent competitive season that culminated | | 6 | | with winning the 2019 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) | | 7 | | Class 3A State Championship in Bloomington; and
| | 8 | | WHEREAS, Prior to competing in the 2019 State Championship, | | 9 | | the Naperville North High School Varsity Dance Team was crowned | | 10 | | DVC Conference Champion and Sectional Champion; they | | 11 | | previously took tenth place at State in 2017-2018 and 12th | | 12 | | place at State in 2016-2017; and
| | 13 | | WHEREAS, The Naperville North Huskies finished first out of | | 14 | | 30 competing teams, with a final competition score of 95.42; | | 15 | | and
| | 16 | | WHEREAS, The Naperville North High School Varsity Dance | | 17 | | Team choreographs their own routines and performed their | | 18 | | title-winning routine to "Live Like Legends" by Ruelle; and
| | 19 | | WHEREAS, The Naperville North High School Varsity Dance | | 20 | | Team is coached by Alexis Linder, Rebecca Paul, and Elida | | 21 | | Vandenbergh; and

| | 1 | | WHEREAS, The Naperville North High School Varsity Dance | | 2 | | Team is Anna Bramlett, Caroline Byrne, Julia Cameli, Emme Camp, | | 3 | | Emma Connelly, Caroline Corcoran, Caroline Findling, Bri | | 4 | | Grove, Brenna Hill, Maizie Keane, Hailey Kilian, Izzy Marcus, | | 5 | | Megan Melnikoff, Francesca Romano, Julia Sassen, Tess States, | | 6 | | and Megan Wachtel; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Naperville North High School | | 8 | | Varsity Dance Team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and | | 9 | | dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, | | 10 | | be it
| | 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | | 12 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | | 13 | | we congratulate the members and coaching staff of the | | 14 | | Naperville North High School Varsity Dance Team on winning the | | 15 | | Class 3A IHSA State Championship, and we wish them continued | | 16 | | success and happiness in the future, both on and off of the | | 17 | | floor; and be it further
| | 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | | 19 | | presented to the Naperville North High School Varsity Dance | | 20 | | Team as an expression of our esteem and respect.
