HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Romon
4"Ro" Le'Antre Ferguson of Peoria, who passed away on October 5,
52020; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Romon Ferguson was born to Robert and Lou Johnson
7in Peoria on January 18, 1981; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Romon Ferguson loved his family, cars, jewelry,
9clothes, and especially his sunglasses; he was very neat and
10wanted everything in its proper place; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Romon Ferguson was preceded in death by his
12father, Robert Ferguson; his maternal grandmother, Jannie
13Johnson; his paternal grandparents, David and Opal Lewis; his
14aunt, Vera Parker; and his uncle, Jessie Johnson; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Romon Ferguson is survived by his mother, Lou
16Johnson; his stepfather, LaMilton Briggs; his daughter, Anija
17Ferguson; his goddaughter, AmBriana Herron; his five brothers,
18John E. King, Robert Walker, Kenyatta Ferguson, David Ferguson,
19and Alex Ferguson; his two sisters, Rennel McChristian and
20Ashley Barber; his two godsisters, Alycia Dunn-Briggs and
21Lakisha Brown; his four maternal aunts, Ruthie Johnson, Jean

1Johnson, Marsha (Darrel) Sprattling, and Diane (Stan) Maclin;
2his three maternal uncles, Ruben (Norma) Johnson, Willie
3(Karen) Johnson, and Thomas (DeEtta) Johnson; his two paternal
4uncles, Robert Allen and Edward Ferguson; his four paternal
5aunts, Brenda Payton, Denise Robertson, Shirley Robertson, and
6Kathea Clark; his special nephew, Shane Maples; his special
7friends, Johnnie Webster, Clarissa Hart-Haywood, Dorothy
8Johnson, Amber Cornish, Marlon Herron, Lil Willie Johnson,
9Monique Herron, Mary Chapai, Joseph Sturdivant, Jarvis Stone,
10and Reggie Stone; his nieces; his nephews; his cousins; and his
11friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we mourn the passing of Romon "Ro" Le'Antre Ferguson and extend
15our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who
16knew and loved him; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Romon Ferguson as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
