HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to recognize Early Walker and the positive
4contributions that he has made to the residents of Cook County;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Earley Walker is the owner of W&W Towing of Cook
7County; he built his company from scratch with just one used
8tow truck, and after ten years, he has a fleet of trucks and is
9renowned for his generosity to the poor and less fortunate; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Earley Walker has been on the front line of
11helping some of the most unfortunate victims of gun violence
12throughout the Chicago metropolitan area; he has provided
13children who have lost their parents to gun violence with
14extravagant Christmas shopping sprees; it is during these
15difficult times that he has brought numerous smiles to the
16faces of children in an attempt to offset the pain associated
17with these senseless tragedies; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Earley Walker has provided over 25,000 turkeys to
19families who have struggled to provide themselves with adequate
20food for Thanksgiving; in addition, he recently took ten
21families to a local Walmart and allowed them to spend up to
22$200.00 on groceries for the Thanksgiving holiday; and

1    WHEREAS, In times of national crisis, Earley Walker rose to
2the occasion and responded; during the initial announcement of
3the Flint, Michigan water crisis, he purchased over 30,000
4bottles of water and personally transported them to the
5affected areas of Flint; and
 
6    WHEREAS, After the horrific hurricane hit Houston, Texas,
7Earley Walker partnered with suburban municipalities in the
8collection of water, non-perishable items, and clothing; he
9then traveled to the most damaged areas of Houston and
10personally delivered the items; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Early Walker provided a seventeen-year-old girl
12stricken with cancer the opportunity to attend her senior prom;
13the young girl had a lasting wish while hospitalized to return
14to her high school and attend the traditional event, and he
15provided all her prom needs, including her dress, limousine,
16and make-up and hair stylist, free of charge; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Early Walker has partnered with police agencies
18and used his own money to fund a cash reward for the capture of
19criminals who have gunned down innocent victims; therefore, be
20it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2we recognize Early Walker and the positive contributions that
3he has made to the residents of Cook County; and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to Earley Walker as a symbol of our respect and
6esteem.
