HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Jacksonville Middle School Cheerleaders, the Crimsons, on winning the 2018 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Large Cheer Division Championship; and

WHEREAS, On January 12, 2019, the Crimsons competed for the first time in the Large Cheer Division; a total of 67 teams in multiple divisions competed in Peoria, with eight teams competing in the Large Cheer Division; and

WHEREAS, The Crimsons won their first Large Cheer Division title with an overall score of 89.73; this is the team's second title for Turner Junior High, Jacksonville Middle School cheerleading; the Crimsons previously won the small Cheer division in 2012; and

WHEREAS, The Crimsons are coached by Cheer Coach, Emily Hudson; and

WHEREAS, The eighth grade Crimsons are Rylee Brogdon, Claire Burrus, Meredith Gallo, Leah Hoffman, and Kayleigh Sullivan; and

WHEREAS, The seventh grade Crimsons are Bentley Clayton, Kimmy Davis, Mackenzie Gerard, Bella Summers, Elle Van Noy, and Julia Zoellner; and

WHEREAS, The sixth grade Crimsons are Taylor Deweese, Annemarie Fraas, Madison Helmich, Brennen Leifheit, Ella Rajaguru, Olivia Stewart, and Isla Willis; and

WHEREAS, The Crimsons serve as models of hard work, perseverance, and excellent team spirit for the people of the State; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate and applaud the Jacksonville Middle School Cheerleaders, the Crimsons, on winning the 2018 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Large Cheer Division Championship, and we wish them many more successful seasons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jacksonville Crimsons Cheer Coach Emily Hudson and all members of the 2018 Jacksonville Middle School Cheerleading Team.
