1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate and recognize
4 milestone events taking place in our communities; and

5     WHEREAS, This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Stark
6 County Farm Bureau to be celebrated at their annual meeting;
7 and

8     WHEREAS, The Stark County Farm Bureau was founded with 585
9 members under President W.W. Wright and Vice President W.H.
10 Jackson but has grown much more since then; and

11     WHEREAS, The Stark County Farm Bureau serves as a voice for
12 the agricultural industry in Stark County, beginning with their
13 concern about the manner in which farmers carry much of the
14 burden of the nation's economy; and

15     WHEREAS, The Stark County Farm Bureau ensures that farmers
16 benefit from their organization, beginning with their uniform
17 price for hand picking corn in 1919; and

18     WHEREAS, The Stark County Farm Bureau educates the
19 generations of today and tomorrow about the agricultural
20 industry; and

1     WHEREAS, The Stark County Farm Bureau always honors and
2 serves its members; therefore, be it

3     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
4 HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5 we congratulate the Stark County Farm Bureau on its 100th
6 anniversary, and we wish the organization many more successful
7 years; and be it further

8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of the resolution be
9 presented to the Stark County Farm Bureau as an expression of
10 our esteem and respect.
