HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Willows Academy volleyball team on winning the 2019 Class 1A Regional Championship; and

WHEREAS, Willows Academy defeated Woodlands Academy in three sets by the scores of 15-25, 25-17, and 27-25; and

WHEREAS, Willows Academy compiled a season record of 29 wins, 9 losses, and one tie, the best record in school history; it is also the most wins in school history; and

WHEREAS, The Willows Academy volleyball team is coached by Head Coach Michelle D'Amico and Assistant Coach Simone Brown and supported by Athletic Director Paul Chanan, Head of School Dr. Jamie Vasquez, and Athletic Trainer Kathryn Turnquist; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Willows Academy volleyball team are Natala Cassata, Ashleigh Fischer, Olivia Maso, Talia Maso, Libby Clark, Barbara Burns, Kamila Kawa, Molly Murray, Ana Kagan, Julia Massey, Carmen Severino, Anna Scherer, Eleanor Cassata, and Mary Grace Kenny; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Willows Academy volleyball team on winning the 2019 Class 1A Regional Championship, and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the members, coaches, and staff of the Willows Academy volleyball team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
