HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Bridgett Ladonna Ersery; and

WHEREAS, Bridgett Ersery was born in Chicago to Bonita and Anthony Ersery on January 9, 1974; she attended Beethoven and Fort Dearborn Elementary Schools; she graduated from Chicago Vocational High School (CVS), where she was part of the "Outlaw Posse", and the Cannella School of Hair Design; and

WHEREAS, Bridgett Ersery briefly worked for South Central Community Service as a daycare provider; she also worked for the Department of Children and Family Services as an administrative assistant in the Services Quality Assistance Division; she had a passion for children and took great joy in nurturing the next generation and caring for children as if they were her own; and

WHEREAS, Bridgett Ersery was very sociable and was part of several organizations; she was president of the alumni committee for her 1992 high school reunion class; she was outgoing and supportive of others; she tried to never miss a CVS gathering and would always show up with a smile; and

WHEREAS, Bridgett Ersery was the oldest of three children and often the loudest, making sure her presence was known; she was known to be the first one at the table when bid whist was announced; and

WHEREAS, Bridgett Ersery's mom, Bonita, took great care of her while working a fulltime job for over 25 years for the Human Resources Development Institute; and

WHEREAS, Bridgett Ersery is survived by her parents; her sister, Tawana Ersery; her brother, John Jones Ersery; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bridgett Ladonna Ersery and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bridgett Ersery as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
