1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Division 96 of the
4 Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen as they
5 celebrate the 150 anniversary of their founding; and

6     WHEREAS, The charter for Division 96 was signed in Chicago
7 on January 16, 1869; and

8     WHEREAS, Division 96 is an extraordinary organization
9 whose membership and leadership still work as hard today as
10 they did in 1869; and

11     WHEREAS, Division 96's active and retired members have
12 devoted their lives to a great public service industry,
13 providing both public transportation and moving freight; and

14     WHEREAS, Members of Division 96 have maintained a
15 distinguished record of service for over 150 years; therefore,
16 be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
18 HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we congratulate Division 96 of the Brotherhood of Locomotive
20 Engineers and Trainmen as they celebrate the 150 anniversary of

1 their founding, and we wish them many more successful years;
2 and be it further

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Division 96 as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
