HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Members of the Illinois House of Representatives with to congratulate Timotheus "Tim" Arrington for receiving the Western Golf Association's Evans Scholarship, providing four years of university tuition and housing; and

WHEREAS, Tim Arrington, a high school senior at Kenwood Academy and resident of Chicago's South Side, earned this prestigious award based on his dedicated work as a caddie for two summers at the Chicago Park District's Jackson Golf Course, along with his academic achievements and community involvement, including performances with the Chicago Children's Choir and his commitment to tutoring junior high students; and

WHEREAS, Tim Arrington is the first Jackson Park Golf Course caddie to earn the Evans Scholarship since 1993; and

WHEREAS, Tim Arrington will attend Marquette University in pursuit of a career in the medical field; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Timotheus "Tim" Arrington for his outstanding achievement and wish him luck at college and in all of his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Tim Arrington and his family as an expression of our esteem and respect.
