HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Jacksonville High School dance team, the J'ettes, on their success at the 2019 Illinois Drill Team Association state competition on February 9, 2019 in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, The J'ettes won state titles in the categories of pom dance and lyrical; this is the team's first title in lyrical; and

WHEREAS, This is the second consecutive year the J'ettes earned a state title in the AA division; and

WHEREAS, The J'ettes also received the highest score of the day in the AA division among all the categories of competition; and

WHEREAS, The J'ettes are coached by Allyson Maul and Tiffany Hickox; and

WHEREAS, The J'ettes are Sarah May (co-captain), Sarah Wilson (co-captain), Olivia Pine (squad leader), Grayson Moore (squad leader), Chloe Burrus (squad leader), Ava Lahey (squad leader), Hannah Loeffelholtz, Ashley Haggerty, Gabbi Meehan, Paige Scaman, Amelia Pine, Layne Rogers, Paiten Wilson, Grace Turner, Paige Hadden, Esha Kulkarni, Dani Dillard, Claire VanAken, and Jillian Claussen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Jacksonville High School dance team, the J'ettes, on their success at the 2019 Illinois Drill Team Association state competition, and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the J'ettes as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
