HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed more and more each year; and

WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both citizens and businesses alike; and

WHEREAS, Based on the nature of their continuous need, a sales tax on haircuts and personal grooming services would accumulate to a significant added expense on top of the already high cost of living; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we are opposed to the implementation of any sales tax on barbershops, hair stylists, and grooming services in 2019 and beyond; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be delivered to each member of the Illinois General Assembly.
