Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act and the Hospital Licensing Act. Requires hospitals organized or licensed under the Acts to provide N95 masks to all doctors licensed under the Medical Practice Act of 1987 and registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses licensed under the Nurse Licensing Act if the doctor, registered nurse, or advanced practice registered nurse is employed by or providing services for another employer at the hospital.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning health.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is amended by adding Section 8d as follows:

Sec. 8d. N95 masks. The University of Illinois Hospital shall provide N95 masks to all doctors licensed under the Medical Practice Act of 1987 and registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses licensed under the Nurse Licensing Act if the doctor, registered nurse, or advanced practice registered nurse is employed by or providing services for another employer at the University of Illinois Hospital.

Section 10. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended by adding Section 6.28 as follows:

Sec. 6.28. N95 masks. A hospital licensed under this Act shall provide N95 masks to all doctors licensed under the Medical Practice Act of 1987 and registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses licensed under the Nurse Licensing Act if the doctor, registered nurse, or advanced practice registered nurse is employed by or providing services for another employer at the hospital.
