SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

410 ILCS 655/50

Amends the Safe Bottled Water Act. Requires tests administered under the Act to be made available to the public upon request.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning health.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Safe Bottled Water Act is amended by changing Section 50 as follows:

(410 ILCS 655/50)

Sec. 50. Testing laboratories.

(a) All testing of bottled water, bottled water sources, water distributed by water haulers, water from retail water facilities, and water from vending machines must be done by competent laboratories approved by the Department or another state's regulatory agency.

(b) A test administered under this Act shall be made available to the public upon request.
