SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

25 ILCS 10/8 new

Amends the General Assembly Operations Act. Provides that on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 30 of each year. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended by adding Section 8 as follows:

(25 ILCS 10/8 new)

Sec. 8. Revenue estimate. On and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly, the General Assembly shall, by joint resolution, establish a revenue estimate for the following State fiscal year by April 30 of each year.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
