Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Private Sewage Disposal Licensing Act. Provides that nonconforming private sewage disposal systems shall not be subject to prescribed design requirements of the private sewage disposal code, but must instead be designed individually by a licensed professional engineer or a licensed environmental health practitioner and approved by the Department of Public Health on a case-by-case basis. Effective immediately.

Adds reference to:
225 ILCS 225/8from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 116.308

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Private Sewage Disposal Licensing Act. Adds to the powers and duties of the Department of Public Health the authorization of the use of alternative private sewage disposal systems that are designed by a licensed professional engineer or an environmental health practitioner and accepted by the Department on a case-by-case basis where the proposed design reasonably addresses issues particular to the proposed system. Effective immediately.
