Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Hospital Licensing Act. In a provision that requires a hospital to provide information and instructional materials regarding sudden infant death syndrome, requires the materials to include information developed by the National Institutes of Health concerning safe sleep environments. Effective immediately.
House Committee Amendment No. 1 Amends the Hospital Licensing Act. Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the provisions of the introduced bill, but with the following change: requires the materials provided by a hospital concerning safe sleep environments to include information developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics or a statewide or nationally recognized sudden infant death syndrome or medical association (instead of the National Institutes of Health). Effective immediately.
