Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that when applying for a hunting license, residents who have been honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces or the Illinois National Guard, upon providing verification of their service, are deemed to have met the requirements for a certificate of competency. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall establish what constitutes suitable verification of service. Effective immediately.
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Wildlife Code. Allows veterans that are Illinois residents to obtain an Illinois Hunter Education card after completing the online study section of the Illinois Hunter Education program and providing the Department of Natural Resources with verification of service or mobilization. Effective immediately.
