Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Identification Card Act and the Illinois Vehicle Code. Allows the issuance of an identification card or a driver's license with a veteran designation to a member of the armed forces, including a member of any reserve component or National Guard unit, regardless of whether he or she served on active duty. Defines "reserve duty". Makes conforming changes.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the bill as introduced with the following changes: provides that the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs shall advise the Secretary of State as to what other forms of proof of a person's status as a veteran are acceptable; allows the issuance of an identification card or a driver's license with a veteran designation to a member of the armed forces, including a member of any reserve component or National Guard unit, regardless of whether he or she served on active duty; removes references to "reserve duty"; and makes the bill effective immediately.
