Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the General Assembly Compensation Act. Provides that, for terms commencing on or after January 14, 2015, each member of the General Assembly shall receive compensation that is no more than 90% of the amount last set by the Compensation Review Board. Amends the Compensation Review Act. For State fiscal year 2014, prohibits a cost of living adjustment for General Assembly members, State's attorneys, other than the county supplement, elected executive branch constitutional officers of State government, and persons in certain appointed offices of State government. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the General Assembly Compensation Act. Establishes the fiscal year 2014 mileage reimbursement rate and allowance for lodging and meals. Requires every member of the 98th General Assembly to forfeit one day of compensation during each month of the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013. Amends the Compensation Review Act. Prohibits a fiscal year 2014 cost-of-living adjustment for State government legislative and executive elected officers and appointees in positions for which the Compensation Review Board previously recommended or determined compensation. Effective immediately.
