Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Election Code. Provides that if the first or last day of the early voting period falls on a State holiday, then that first or last day of the period may be the first business day immediately following the State holiday.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Election Code. Requires that permanent early voting polling places designated in certain municipalities by election authorities of certain populous counties and municipalities must remain open additional hours on holidays during the early voting period and on the final weekend of the early voting period.
