Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the Secretary of State shall immediately revoke (rather than may, within 6 months of the date of conviction or one year of the date of the accident, revoke or suspend) the driving privileges of any person who has been convicted of an offense that involved the unlawful operation of a motor vehicle and caused or contributed to an accident resulting in the death of any person.
House Committee Amendment No. 1 Changes the location of the new language providing that the Secretary of State shall revoke the license of any person who commits any offense against any provision of the Illinois Vehicle Code, or any provision of a local ordinance, regulating the movement of traffic, that has caused or contributed to an accident resulting in the death of any person.
