Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Accountable Schools Task Force to review and evaluate the complex issues involving the fiscal and performance accountability of the State's school districts and individual schools.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Resolves that the Accountable Schools Task Force shall consist of 25 (instead of 23) members, that 2 members shall be representatives of a statewide child advocacy organization appointed by the Governor, and that 2 members shall be representatives of a statewide organization of parents and teachers (instead of teachers currently employed by school districts within the State) appointed by the Governor. Resolves that all Task Force meetings shall be open to the public and that the Task Force may solicit input from non-members of the Task Force and any other sources deemed appropriate by the State Board of Education.
