Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Medigap Premium Reimbursement Act. Establishes the Medigap Premium Reimbursement Program, to be administered by the Department of Public Aid. Provides that under the program, a person who is 65 years of age or older and who purchases and pays the premiums for a policy of Medicare supplemental ("Medigap") insurance that contains a prescription drug benefit is entitled to receive $25 per month from the State for each month that he or she pays those premiums, as a reimbursement of a part of the cost of the insurance coverage.
