Synopsis As Introduced
In addition to any other amounts appropriated for this purpose, appropriates $24,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Children and Family Services to fund an increase in the cost of care reimbursement rate for foster parents of wards of the State. Effective July 1, 2008.

Fiscal Note (Dept. of Children & Family Services)
The fiscal impact ranges from $3.1 million to $24 million depending upon its intent.

Balanced Budget Note (Office of Management and Budget)
HB 5095, if enacted into law, will lead to an unbalanced budget for Fiscal Year 2009 by placing additional spending pressure in the amount of $24,000,000 on the General Revenue Fund. The bill provides no revenue to support the appropriation, nor is any included in the Governor's proposed budget.
