Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall create a pilot program to allow the Department to enter into an agreement with a licensed plumber employed by a municipality to do inspections on behalf of the Department and submit appropriate documentation as requested to verify the inspections were completed to the standards required by the Department and outlined in the partnership.
House Floor Amendment No. 2 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall create a pilot program to allow the Department to enter into an agreement with a municipality that employs a State of Illinois certified plumbing inspector (rather than with a licensed plumber employed by a municipality) to do inspections on behalf of the Department and submit appropriate documentation as requested to verify the inspections were completed to the standards required by the Department and outlined in the partnership.
