Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Overdose Prevention and Harm Reduction Act. Provides that a trained overdose responder for an organization enrolled in the Drug Overdose Prevention Program administered by the Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery may dispense drug adulterant testing supplies to any person. Provides that drug adulterant testing supplies shall be stored so that they are accessible only by trained overdose responders.
House Floor Amendment No. 1 Provides that any drug adulterant testing supplies to be dispensed (rather than dispensed) must be stored at a licensed pharmacy, hospital, clinic, or other health care facility, or at the medical office of a physician, advanced practice registered nurse, or physician assistant, or at the premises of the organization enrolled in the Drug Overdose Prevention Program.
