Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Increases the penalties for the offense of financial exploitation of an elderly person or a person with a disability by one class.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Defines, for the purpose of the statute concerning financial exploitation of an elderly person or a person with a disability, "person with a disability" as a person who suffers from a physical or mental impairment (rather than a permanent impairment) resulting from disease, injury, functional disorder, or congenital condition that impairs the individual's mental or physical ability to independently manage his or her property or financial resources, or both.
