Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Employee Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Allows a person whose employment under the Article was terminated, but he or she was reemployed by any department under the Article within 6 months after that termination, to establish creditable service for the period during which he or she was terminated, provided that he or she applies within 6 months after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Includes language concerning new benefit increases. Effective immediately.

 Pension Note (Government Forecasting & Accountability)
 The fiscal impact of HB 4469 will be minimal as members are required to pay employee contributions for periods of unemployment, in addition to the employer's normal cost, plus interest.
