Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission shall develop benchmarks for employee staffing levels for each classification and employee training for each classification by January 1, 2010 (instead of not specifying a date). Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that the staff of the Illinois Commerce Commission (instead of only the Commission) shall develop benchmarks for employee staffing levels for each classification and employee training for each classification within one year after the effective date of the amendatory Act (rather than by January 1, 2010).

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the staff of the Illinois Commerce Commission shall develop benchmarks for employee staffing levels for each classification and employee training for each classification, subject to specified provisions, within one year after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.
