Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Hearing Instrument Consumer Protection Act. House Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause by re-inserting the original bill as introduced, with the following changes: provides for reciprocity for a licensee of another state that has an examination that is provided by the International Hearing Society (now, only an examination that is comparable to the examination required under the Act); requires that the applicant must have completed certain academic and training requirements for licensure; and specifies that the applicant must have paid the required fee.
