Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Unified Code of Corrections, the Criminal Code of 1961, the Illinois Controlled Substances Act, and the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act to reclassify current Class X felonies for the purpose of sentencing. Makes conforming changes. Effective July 1, 2008.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Makes technical changes to the bill. Also, changes various super Class X felony classifications for aggravated possession of a stolen firearm and various controlled substance and methamphetamine violations.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Deletes the effective date Section from the bill.
