Synopsis As Introduced
Contains a preamble concerning COVID-19, the Governor’s plan to utilize several layers of mitigation to combat a resurgence of COVID-19 and prevent its uncontrollable spread, the continued meeting of triggering criteria for the institution of more restrictive public health measures and additional mitigations under that plan for Region 5 comprised of Alexander, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Marion, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, Wabash, Wayne, White, and Williamson Counties, Region 7 comprised of Kankakee and Will Counties, and Region 8 comprised of DuPage and Kane Counties, previous mitigation steps taken in those counties, and other matters. Institutes specified public health restrictions and mitigations for restaurants and bars, meetings and social events, gaming and casinos, and all workplaces in those counties (in part different from and in part identical to those measures and mitigations instituted under Executive Orders 2020-60 and 2020-61). Provides that this Executive Order supplements Executive Order 2020-43, which remains in effect for those counties, other than when its terms are inconsistent with the terms of this Executive Order. Provides that the terms of Executive Order 2020-43 relating to social distancing and wearing face coverings remain in place. Contains provisions regarding severability.
