Synopsis As Introduced
Contains a preamble concerning COVID-19, the requirements of the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act regarding the registration of patients and caregivers, and the impact that the outbreak of COVID-19 has had on the renewal of the registration of qualified patients and caregivers. Suspends the requirement that qualified patients and caregivers must submit a renewal application and fee at least 45 days prior to the expiration of their current registration. Suspends the requirement that the Department of Public Health must collect completed renewal applications and registration fees prior to renewing a registration. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall grant a one-year renewal or extension, as appropriate, for all valid registry identification cards that expire between October 1, 2020 and April 20, 2021. Contains provisions regarding severability.
