Synopsis As Introduced
Contains a preamble concerning COVID-19, the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations declaring all counties in the State of Illinois as a disaster area, and other matters. Pursuant to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act, orders the following: (1) for the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations, specified provisions of the Radiation Protection Act of 1990 and accompanying rules that limit the validity of industrial radiography certifications to 5 years and industrial radiography trainee certifications to 2 years are suspended; (2) the Division of Nuclear Safety of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency may administratively extend the terms of industrial radiography certifications or industrial radiography trainee certifications that expired or will expire during the period of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations in 90-day increments, not to exceed 6 months beyond the initial 5-year or 2-year terms, to allow individuals to meet the examination criteria; industrial radiographers and industrial radiographer trainees shall meet all other requirements of the Division of Nuclear Safety; (3) this Executive Order does not apply to individuals who did not have a certification for industrial radiography before the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations. Provides that the provisions of this Executive Order are severable.
