Synopsis As Introduced
Proposes, under Article V, Section 11 of the Illinois Constitution, that: the Department of State Police shall be known as the Illinois State Police; the Division of Operations shall be split into the Division of Patrol and the Division of Criminal Investigation; the Illinois State Police Academy shall be renamed the Division of the Academy and Training; and each Division shall have as its administrative head a Deputy Director named by the Director. Sets forth the duties of each Division. Contains provisions regarding: employees; property and records; unexpended balances; rules; obligations; reports and notices; savings; prior executive orders; severability; filings; and other matters. States that the Executive Order takes effect immediately with necessary transitions to be completed within 60 days.
