Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the K-12 Educational MRSA Prevention Act. Provides that by no later than 90 days after implementation of guidelines and specifications established by the Illinois MRSA Coordinating Council for methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) prevention and maintenance procedures in school facilities, provides that all Kindergarten through grade 12 elementary and secondary public and non-public schools in this State shall establish and implement a MRSA prevention policy and exclusively purchase and use disinfecting products approved by the federal Environmental Protection Agency and registered with the Illinois Department of Agriculture and bearing efficacy claims listed on the label pursuant to the guidelines and specifications. Sets forth provisions concerning the establishment, annual amendment, and dissemination of the guidelines and specifications. Effective immediately.
