Synopsis As Introduced Creates the Purchase of Care and Grant Adjustment Act. Applies to agreements that provide services to persons with disabilities that are entered into between the Department of Children and Family Services, Human Services, Corrections, Public Health, or Healthcare and Family Services and a private community-based contractual provider or grantee. Requires annual adjustments in accordance with the non-seasonally-adjusted Employment Cost Index. Effective January 1, 2008.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the bill as introduced with the following changes: Applies to purchase of care contracts, grant agreements, and provider agreements that (i) provide services for the disabled or (ii) are between specified State agencies and private community-based providers (now, contracts and agreements that are (i) and (ii)). Adds the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to the list of those specified State agencies. Effective January 1, 2008.
