Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Agency Web Site Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning cookies and other invasive tracking programs.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
5 ILCS 177/10
Adds reference to:
20 ILCS 505/5from Ch. 23, par. 5005

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Children and Family Services Act. Requires the Department of Children and Family Services to conduct annual credit history checks to determine the financial history of children receiving child welfare services and to report any suspected financial exploitation of a child to the proper law enforcement agency or State's Attorney office. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes the substance of the bill. Requires the Department of Children and Family Services to conduct annual credit history checks of children placed under its guardianship pursuant to the Juvenile Court Act of 1987, beginning when a child turns 12 and until guardianship is terminated pursuant to the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Requires the Department to determine if financial exploitation of the child's personal information has occurred. Requires the Department to notify the proper law enforcement agency, the proper State's Attorney, or the Attorney General if exploitation appears to be occurring or has occurred. Removes the immediate effective date.
